Tucked into one of London’s most storied enclaves, once home to Henry VIII, this 2,500 sq ft duplex has been completely transformed by Nomad Private Client. Delivered over the course of just seven months, the project involved a full back-to-brick refurbishment, alongside complete interior design, interior architecture, and project management.

The residence’s generous volumes were thoughtfully reconfigured to create a sense of calm sophistication, combining bespoke joinery, layered natural textures, and understated luxury throughout. Every detail was carefully considered to enhance both functionality and atmosphere, creating spaces that feel elegant yet deeply livable.

Heritage character carefully preserved and refined.

Cheyne Row and the surrounding Cheyne Walk area sit within one of the most historically rich pockets of Chelsea. The area takes its name from the Cheyne family, who were Lords of the Manor of Chelsea from the 17th to early 18th century, after purchasing the estate when Chelsea was still a rural riverside village outside central London.

Bespoke joinery was designed to bring warmth, cohesion, and quiet functionality to the home

each element feeling seamlessly integrated into the architecture. Window treatments layered soft linens and tailored drapery to diffuse natural light and create a calm, intimate atmosphere, while a curated mix of bespoke and collectible furniture introduced sculptural forms, natural materials, and understated elegance throughout.

Rare for a London apartment

the home’s ancillary spaces were designed with the same level of care and attention as the principal rooms, creating a sense of ease, functionality, and quiet luxury throughout. A generous boot room, full utility space, and secondary kitchen bring an unexpected practicality more often associated with a countryside home, allowing daily life to feel calm, organised, and effortless in the heart of Chelsea.
