Past meets present

The home was originally built on the site of a former Dairy House in the mid-19th Century. This stunning terraced home is positioned in the Cheyne Conservation area, between the city’s Kings Road and the neighbouring River Thames.

Retaining character, creating innovation.

The ambition was to craft an elegant, practical townhouse with strong eco credentials. To achieve that balance, the original front façade was preserved and left largely untouched while a completely new construction was built behind it, delivering modern performance and design without sacrificing historic charm.

Inside, the approach centred on creating a comfortable, elevated family home.

Period features such as detailed cornicing and traditional proportions were reinstated to restore a sense of heritage, then paired with a warm, modern materiality. Natural materials such as timbers, stones, and metals chosen for their ability to age and patina beautifully formed the backbone of the scheme, complemented by punchy marbles, playful design moments, and a calming, cohesive colour palette. The result was a home that felt both refined and deeply livable, contemporary in attitude yet timeless in atmosphere.
